Important Information You Should Know:

  • Borrowing limits will be as follows: 20 items per adult card (10 for new patrons), 10 items per student card (5 for new patrons), with a max of 40 items per family.
  • Libby: You will still be able to use Libby by logging in with your library card number and pin.

Flex Share Dissolved - Independent Libraries

What does this mean for you?
  • Separate Catalogs: Following the transition, patrons will use distinct online catalogs to browse and request materials.
  • Library Cards: Current cardholders may need to update their accounts or apply for a new card at the neighboring library to maintain borrowing privileges.
  • Holds & Interlibrary Loans: Any active holds placed on items belonging to the "partner" library may be cleared during the system split. Patrons are encouraged to pick up current holds before March 2, 2026.
  • Digital Resources: Access to apps like Libby or Hoopla will now be managed independently by each city, potentially offering new or different content based on local curation.
